The big names are all there in this year’s lineup for the annual Sasquatch Festival at the Gorge — R.E.M., Flaming Lips, M.I.A., Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, the Cure, New Pornographers…the list goes on.
But I know at least a few people who will be scrambling for tickets the minute they hear this add to the lineup: Flight of the Conchords. Yep, the stars of the hilarious musical comedy show on HBO will perform a live set at this year’s festival, which will also feature a full-blown comedy tent in addition to the usual three stages.
Check out the link above for full lineup info, but know this: Tickets aren’t any cheaper this year (go figure). Buy ‘em the first weekend they’re available (Mar. 8 & 9) and you’ll pay $56.50 per day (the festival runs May 24-26, with the top acts spread over all three days). As of Mar. 10, remaining tickets go up $10 apiece; add yet another $10 if you wait until the week of the festival to buy. The Gorge site mentions a “3-day value pass,” but the price is listed two different ways in two different places. Camping is $40 a night.
Here’s a little Flight of the Conchords action, to brighten your day.
