Broadway returns to Missoula

It’s been a few years since Missoula has seen much in the way of touring Broadway productions. That changes in the coming months, with four big shows headed our way as part of a new “Broadway in Missoula” series sponsored by the Missoulian and KECI.

On Nov. 4, the series kicks off with Cirque Dreams: Illumination, one of the many spinoff productions from the groundbreaking Cirque du Soleil. Then comes Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock musical, “Jesus Christ Superstar,” on January 27. “Annie” arrives on Feb. 16; and the series wraps up on April 13 with “Hairspray.”

All shows take place at the Adams Center, despite what some parts of the series Web site say (it looks like someone accidentally lifted venue links from another Web site when assembling this one; several of the individual pages say that the performances take place at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, whatever that is).

Season packages are on sale now here, offering the best seats and pretty significant discounts off what you’ll pay for individual shows.
