I received word of an upcoming Haiti relief concert in Missoula too late to get anything into last week’s Entertainer. Too bad, as it sounds like an event that would have widespread interest. Here’s the press release:
Jonathan Cambry Haitian Relief Benefit
The University Center Annual and Special Events is proud to present a fundraiser for the victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake featuring classically trained Haitian-American pianist Jonathan Cambry. Cambry’s diverse performance has earned him two gold medals at the NAACP ACT-SO Awards competition for the Music Instrumental-Classical over two million youtube views. He has been touring the United States raising money for his home country of Haiti. On Thursday, April 29th in the UC Ballroom, Missoulians will have the opportunity to witness a moving and expressive classical performance while supporting the victims of the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti. The event is free with suggested donation with doors opening at 6:30pm and the show beginning at 7pm.
