Leftover Salmon to headline Roots Festival in Missoula

The River City Roots Festival has landed its biggest fish yet. The Missoula Downtown Association announced that Leftover Salmon, one of the most influential and popular pioneers of the so-called jam-band scene, will headline this summer’s free outdoor festival, which takes place in the streets of Missoula on August 27 & 28.

Formed in 1989 in Boulder, Colo., Leftover Salmon catapulted to popularity in the 1990s after gaining a spot on the H.O.R.D.E. touring festival, which featured the biggest names in the burgeoning scene of Grateful Dead-inspired, improvisationally based rock bands. [Read More...]
