I called the UM school of music to find out why we’d received no press release about a concert by Chirgilchin, a group of Tuvan throat-singers, which my wife had seen advertised for this coming Sunday at the UM Music Recital Hall. Turns out, the group was unable to secure the necessary visas to come to the U.S. so their tour has been postponed indefinitely. That sucks, I’d love to have heard ‘em. Guess in the meantime, we can enjoy this bizarre Youtube video….According to the video’s caption, “Chirgilchin normally plays music for people about goats. This performance is a song for goats about people.”
No deep throat this weekend

Maybe the thing to do is watch the video, then go see that “Men Who Stare at Goats” movie.
