What I Cover

As an average man of average height living with one metrosexual loafer planted in the digital world and one muddy boot wandering the wilds of Montana, I’m personally interested in a broad range of issues, ideas, and events.

But when it comes to this blog, I focus on a pretty narrow realm of topics.

Most concisely, I write about locally produced arts and entertainment in Missoula, Montana, and the nearby area. “Nearby” means within 100 miles, give or take. “Arts and entertainment” means music, theatre, visual art, architecture & landscape, dance, film, television, books, spoken word/poetry, and comedy. Sometimes I venture into other topics, but always with an eye toward its relation to this area, its people and culture.

Generally speaking, I don’t write about mass-media entertainment, general-release films, or Lady Gaga, unless there’s some relation to this place. Those topics get plenty of coverage elsewhere.
